Why Couples Choose Us

Romantic weekends in Tula — cozy and affordable

Looking for a room for two in Tula but not ready to pay 3,000–4,000₽ a night for a hotel with a minibar that charges wine prices for still water? Myagko i Tochka Hostel offers private twin/double rooms for couples: closed door, your own bed, nightstands on both sides, power outlets at each headboard. No "surprise roommates," no upper bunks with strangers' socks, no queue for the shared bathroom in the morning. Two adults — one room, one key, one price from 400₽ per person per night. Passport check-in, no deposit, no agency fee, and no awkward "are you actually a couple?" questions.

Our hostel for couples works equally well for newlyweds on a budget honeymoon, for couples who "had a fight — let's just get out of town for the weekend," and for anyone in Tula for a concert / a CSKA-Arsenal match / the samovar museum, who doesn't want to spend the evening in a room with seven snoring bunkmates. Three room formats: double with one queen bed 160×200 for couples who sleep together; twin with two single beds 90×200 for friends or for the "I love you but the blanket is mine" scenario; mini-suite with a queen bed, sofa-armchair, small table, and its own fridge — an almost-hotel room at hostel prices. The Tula Kremlin is a 12-minute walk through the old town — the perfect first walk after check-in.

Weekend for Two — Cozy and Affordable

Romance Without Overpaying

A weekend in Tula for two — walks around the Kremlin, museums, cozy cafés, and evenings in a comfortable hostel. Accommodation from 400₽ per bed per night — much cheaper than a hotel. A fully equipped kitchen lets you cook dinner, and there are plenty of restaurants and coffee shops nearby.

Tula for Two

Tula Kremlin, Upa River embankment, Arms Museum, Gingerbread Museum — all within walking distance. In the evening, stroll through the historic center or pop into local cafés. Yasnaya Polyana is 20 minutes by bus — perfect for a day trip for two.

Comfort and Privacy

Clean rooms, fresh linen, hot water, and quiet atmosphere. Quiet hours from 11 PM to 7 AM ensure peaceful sleep. 24/7 check-in — arrive anytime, the administrator will meet and accommodate you.

Everything you need for a romantic evening — within walking distance. Magnit supermarket across the street (2 minutes, open until 23:00): wine, champagne, cheese, candles, chocolate — the full in-room dinner kit without a restaurant. Rigla pharmacy 4 minutes away — contraceptives without the awkward supermarket queue, personal hygiene items, everything you forgot in the rush of packing. Meals are not included in the room rate — that's a plus, not a minus: you choose what and when to eat, and you don't overpay for a "hotel breakfast" you'd sleep through anyway.

Three Types of Rooms for Two — Pick Your Scenario

Not all double rooms are created equal. A couple on a honeymoon wants one big bed and privacy; two friends traveling together want separate beds and a bigger wardrobe; someone booking a week of remote work wants a fridge and a desk. We have all three:

Feature DOUBLE (one bed) TWIN (two beds) MINI-SUITE (semi-luxe)
Area 12 m² 14 m² 18 m²
Bed 1 × queen 160×200 2 × single 90×200 1 × queen 160×200 + sofa-armchair
Window Courtyard, quiet Courtyard, quiet Panoramic, street view
Wardrobe 1 section + hangers 2 sections, for two Walk-in wardrobe + shelves
Outlets 2 at headboard + 2 at desk 2 at each bed 6 outlets + USB ports
Smart TV 32", YouTube 32", YouTube 40" + Chromecast
Mini-fridge Shared on floor Shared on floor Private in room, 40 L
Bathroom En-suite (shower, WC) En-suite (shower, WC) En-suite (shower, WC, shelves)
Price per night from 800₽ per room from 900₽ per room from 1,400₽ per room
Min. stay 1 night 1 night 2 nights

All three room types come with a private en-suite bathroom. This isn't the "shared shower at the end of the corridor" of Soviet dormitories — it's your shower, your toilet, your towel hook. One key is issued per couple; nobody gets added to your room, even if someone else calls and asks for "just one bed in a twin" — that SKU literally does not exist in our booking system. The room is sold whole or not at all.

Why Couples Travel to Tula for the Weekend

Tula is a perfect city for a couple on a weekend or a short break: small, walkable, tasty, full of samovars, gingerbread, gunsmith heritage, and a proper Kremlin. And best of all — you can come here for 400₽ per person per night and not go broke. Four typical reasons couples book with us:

Romantic Weekend (Friday to Sunday, the most common)

Arrived Friday evening after work (Moscow–Tula is 2.5 hours by train from Kursky station), checked in by 22:00, had dinner in the room, spent Saturday walking around the Kremlin and the riverfront, evening at the theatre or a café on Metallistov Street, Sunday at Yasnaya Polyana, then home. Two nights in a double room + breakfast at the nearby café fits into 4,000–5,000₽ for the couple without cutting corners on the experience.

Anniversary on a Budget

A round date but the mortgage rules out the Maldives. Tula instead of the Maldives — no glamour, but a real point: this is the city where mom and dad met, where the old-town atmosphere survives intact. Book the mini-suite with the big bed, grab champagne at Magnit across the street, borrow candles from the kitchen shelf — anniversary saved without breaking the family budget.

Budget Honeymoon (After the "Expensive" Wedding)

The wedding ate the budget and the "honeymoon" is still owed. Newlyweds often pick Tula as the compromise: not abroad (no passport hassle), not Moscow (too pricey), and not a village in the middle of nowhere. Three or four days in the mini-suite with its own fridge, a Kulikovo Field tour, the samovar museum, the gingerbread museum with tastings — a "mini-honeymoon" for 15,000–20,000₽ for two.

Reunion After Time Apart (Long-Distance / Business Trip / Shift Work)

One in Moscow, the other in Voronezh — meeting halfway. Tula sits on the M2 highway, exactly in between. You each arrive from your side, meet at the hostel, the room is already booked — no need to waste the first evening hunting for a bed. Two nights in a double room, no one around, door locked — enough to make up for a month apart.

5 Romance Ideas in Tula for 400₽ — Almost Free, Fully Beautiful

Good news: Tula doesn't charge for romance. It's already baked into the old town, the riverfront, the Kremlin, and the evening air above the Upa River. Five date scenarios where you barely open your wallet:

1

Sunset walk around the Kremlin — 0₽

Leave the hostel at 19:00, walk 12 minutes down Metallistov Street, circle the Kremlin along the outer wall (25 minutes), catch the sunset on the riverfront. Zero roubles, maximum aesthetic.

2

Coffee and gingerbread in the old town — 250₽

Cafés in the historic centre run an average check of 200–250₽ for two: latte + a proper glazed Tula gingerbread. No "café by chef" pretence, just cozy and homelike.

3

Candlelit dinner in the room — 400₽ for two

Magnit across the street: cheese, ham, baguette, grapes, a bottle of semi-sweet wine — fits into 400₽. Candles (don't forget to grab them there too) on the window sill — the atmosphere costs more than a restaurant would.

4

Nighttime riverfront and Kazan Church — 0₽

The Upa riverfront is lit until midnight, the Kazan icon church is floodlit, quiet and nearly empty after 22:00. Perfect for the "serious talk" or just for standing there and holding each other in silence.

5

Morning breakfast in the room — 300₽ for two

Our kitchen has a free stove and kettle. Walk out in the morning for croissants and yogurt at the same Magnit, brew coffee, come back, eat in bed. A classic hotel breakfast costs 800₽ for two; ours costs 300₽ and no waiter to wait for.

Total for a weekend for two: 1,600₽ for the room (2 nights × 800₽) + 950₽ for food and coffee = 2,550₽ per couple for two days in Tula. Same price as one dinner in a Moscow restaurant.

FAQ Frequently Asked Questions

Double rooms are sold as a whole room, at a per-room price (not per bed). There is technically no "single bed in a twin room" SKU in our booking system — the option doesn't exist. Once you pay for the room, you get the key, you lock the door from inside, no one can enter. Our reception is not permitted to add strangers to a paid double room, even in an overbooking scenario — we would give up our own staff room or transfer you to a nearby hotel at our expense.

You pick the bed type at booking. DOUBLE — one queen 160×200 (for couples who sleep together). TWIN — two singles 90×200, 30 cm apart (for friends, for the "blanket is mine" type, or for couples in a mild disagreement). MINI-SUITE — one queen 160×200 + sofa-armchair, for when you want extra space. When calling, just say "we need a double" or "we need a twin" — we book exactly that type, no reception-desk surprises.

From 400₽/night per bed. For two — from 800₽ per night. Discounts may be available for stays of 3+ nights. Call for current rates.

Yes, a fully equipped kitchen: stove, microwave, fridge, kettle, utensils. You can prepare a romantic dinner or breakfast.

Yes, 24/7 reception, check-in anytime with no late-arrival surcharge. Call 30 minutes before you arrive (+7 920 775-00-11), the receptionist meets you at the entrance with a key. If the room is already booked and paid for, evening check-in takes 5 minutes — passports on the copier, key in hand, quiet walk to the second floor. No need to tiptoe — there are no roommates behind your wall in a double room.

Yes, free parking near the hostel for cars. Convenient if you're traveling by car.

Quiet hours are 23:00 to 8:00. Double rooms are in a separate wing of the building (not next to the 6/8-bed dorms), inter-room walls are solid, soundproofing is 100 mm mineral wool. If your neighbours (also a couple) turn out to be dramatic — we'll politely ask them to lower the volume based on your call from the in-room phone. Every couple next door is loud in its own way; after 23:00 our rule is simple: quieter than a kettle in the kitchen.
