Hostel with parking in Tula — free on-site parking lot

Hostel with Parking in Tula

Free on-site parking lot — from 400₽/day. Drive in and rest easy. Wi-Fi, kitchen, linens included

Parking at the Hostel — Park and Check In

Free on-site parking lot — no need to search for a spot or pay for parking

Arrived in Tula by car and don't want to leave it on the street or pay 300–500 ₽/day for a paid lot? Hostel «Myagko i tochka» at 171 Karla Marxa St. is one of the few in the city center with its own parking yard. Entry through a historic archway, fenced perimeter, 24-hour lighting and direct view from the reception window. From 400 ₽ per bed per night, parking is free — no extra charge for the car itself.

The yard fits sedans, crossovers and minivans. The entry archway is 3.2 m high and 2.7 m wide — a Ford Transit passes, a European semi-truck does not (for long-haul truckers there is a separate page with truck stops along the M2 highway). The surface is asphalt with a slight drainage slope; in winter we clear it by shovel and spread anti-ice reagent, so you won't dig out your car in the morning. Meals are not included — the shared kitchen is self-service; groceries are at «Magnit» across the street (3 minutes on foot).

Our parking yard — full specification

No fluffy «convenient and spacious» phrases — actual dimensions, surface and what really fits. Check your vehicle's dimensions before booking:

Vehicle type Example Spots in yard Extra charge Fits 3.2 × 2.7 m archway Surface Security / lighting 220 V outlet

Important to understand: the yard is not a paid guarded parking lot with a barrier and a watchman. It's a fenced perimeter, lit by a yard lamp, visible from the reception window. We do not assume liability for items left in the vehicle — remove your dashcam and clear valuables from the dashboard. If you need truck parking — see the page for long-haul drivers with stops along the M2 highway.

What's allowed and what's not on our parking yard

The yard is shared by all hostel guests. Rules are simple, no fine print or hidden fines — please read before you arrive:

Allowed

  • Enter and exit 24/7 without prior notice
  • Park for the whole stay with no extra fee
  • Wash the windshield and top up washer fluid on the spot (bucket at reception)
  • Charge the battery from a 220 V outlet — extension cord on request
  • Set your dashcam to «parking mode» — nobody minds
  • Unload bags right at the entrance — 5 metres from car to door
  • Leave keys at reception if you are waiting for a tow truck or tire service

Not allowed

  • Wash the car with shampoo or foam — the yard is not a car wash, the drain can't handle it
  • Repair the engine, change oil, work with fuel or solvents
  • Leave the car beyond your stay dates without notifying reception
  • Park across the gate — blocks exit for other guests and emergency vehicles
  • Enter with a truck taller than 3.0 m — you'll hit the archway (a common mistake)
  • Park on the lawn or right under first-floor windows
  • Store fuel canisters, gas cylinders or flammable materials in the boot
  • Leave pets in the cabin for long periods without open windows

5 rules for parking in the hostel yard

The yard is small — 6 spots between 4 lamp posts. To make sure there is room for everyone and no one gets blocked in, please follow this simple order of arrival:

1

Back in if you are the last car in the yard

It's easier to pull out nose-first in the morning — no reversing between two neighbours. If you are first, park however you like. If you are the last one closest to the gate — back in towards the archway. That way you'll leave in 10 seconds without honking to wake anyone up.

2

Leave 40 cm between cars on each side

The yard is drawn for 6 standard sedans. Crossovers and vans eat up two-thirds more space — realistically it fits 4 vehicles. Don't try to squeeze in «tight»: your neighbour still needs to open the door and lift a child seat out.

3

Check the archway height if you drive a van or a campervan

The archway is 3.2 m by the sign, but with kerb and packed snow in winter it's safer to count 3.0 m. Fiat Ducato campers at 2.9 m go through. Expedition vehicles with a roof rack and tent above 3.0 m — do not; park them along the fence on the street.

4

Don't leave valuables visible in the cabin

The perimeter is fenced and visible from reception, but it's better to be safe. Laptop, wallet, dashcam, tablet — take them into your room. There is a lockable locker in the room, spots are always available. We do not take responsibility for items left in the car — standard practice for any hotel parking.

5

Tell reception your car make and plate on check-in

Not for a «pass» — we don't have one. So we can find you if someone gets blocked in or your alarm goes off. The reception desk is staffed around the clock — you'll be woken up and asked to move, instead of hunting for the owner of an unknown Logan at 3 a.m.

Bottom line: order in a small yard is kept by simple agreement, not by a security guard with a barrier. You arrive, you park properly, you don't block your neighbour — your neighbour doesn't have to wake you up.

What to buy near the hostel — for drivers specifically

Arrived late and forgot something in the boot? Not a problem, everything is a short walk away. Meals are not included in the price, but the nearest store is minutes away:

«Magnit» — 3 minutes on foot

  • De-icer spray for the windshield (Tula winters go down to −20 °C)
  • Anti-freeze washer fluid rated to −25 °C and −30 °C, 4-litre canister
  • Microfibre cloth for wiping the inside of the windshield — clears condensation
  • Ready meals, water, coffee for the road if you leave early
  • Groceries for cooking on our shared kitchen — always fresher than roadside cafés

«Rigla» pharmacy — 5 minutes on foot

  • Hand cleaner for engine oil and tar — works better than dish soap
  • Hand cream after frost — if you were tightening bolts in the cold
  • Painkiller and muscle rub for back strain — a classic after long driving
  • Eye drops for driver fatigue — soothes the sting after a night drive
  • Car first-aid kit — if yours has long-expired tourniquets and bandages

Both stores are open until 22:00–23:00, «Magnit» with hot bakery — until 22:00. Self-service car wash is 800 m away, tire service on Lenin Ave is 15 minutes on foot or 5 minutes by car. Rosneft petrol station is 1.2 km, 24/7.

FAQ Frequently Asked Questions

From 400 ₽/day. Parking is included in the price — no extra charges. Wi-Fi, linens, kitchen, and hot water are also included.

The entry archway is 3.2 m high and 2.7 m wide. A standard GAZelle GAZ-2705 (2.4 m tall) and Ford Transit (2.5–2.7 m) pass freely. Fiat Ducato campervans up to 2.9 m — also fit. Expedition vehicles with a roof rack and tent over 3.0 m are safer parked along the fence on the street in winter — packed snow under the archway eats up the height margin. If unsure, call ahead: +7 (920) 775-00-11.

The yard is asphalt with a slight drainage slope, no potholes or ruts. In winter we clear it by hand shovel (the yard is small, no machinery needed) and spread anti-ice reagent. You won't have to dig out your car in the morning. During heavy overnight snowfall there may be uncleared drifts — if you have an early departure, tell reception in the evening, they will clear your spot in advance.

There is no permanent outdoor outlet on the yard, but on request reception will run an extension cord from the lobby — enough for a jump starter or a coolant pre-heater (Severs, Lunfei). No fee for electricity, it's a one-off courtesy. Overnight continuous heating is not allowed: the cord runs through the door and the lobby draughts in winter. For dedicated overnight heating — discuss separately.

No, we do not assume material liability for the vehicle or items left inside — standard practice for any hotel parking in Russia (not to be confused with a paid guarded lot with a watchman and a custody contract). The yard is fenced, lit by a lamp and visible from the reception window — in 12 years of operation there have been no break-ins. Still, take your dashcam, wallet, laptop, tablet into your room. There is a lockable locker in the room.

No. No deposit, commission, or prepayment. Payment at check-in by cash or card.
