Your Guide to Staying in Tula as a Foreigner
Stress-Free Migration Registration
Under Russian law, foreign citizens must register their place of stay within 7 business days of arrival (or 1 day for citizens of certain countries). This process, known as "migration registration" or "temporary stay notification," can be confusing for first-time visitors. At our hostel, we handle everything for you. Simply present your passport and migration card at check-in, and our staff will complete and submit the registration form. You will receive the tear-off portion as proof — keep it with your passport at all times during your stay in Russia.
Discover Tula — Russia Beyond Moscow
Tula is one of Russia's most historic cities, located just 180 km south of Moscow. Walk to the 16th-century Tula Kremlin in 10 minutes from our hostel. Visit the world-famous Tula State Museum of Arms, the Samovar Museum, and the Tula Gingerbread Museum to taste traditional Russian pryanik. Day-trip to Yasnaya Polyana, Leo Tolstoy's family estate, just 14 km away — one of Russia's most important literary landmarks. Tula offers an authentic Russian experience without the crowds and prices of Moscow.
Comfortable International-Friendly Stay
We provide everything a foreign traveler needs for a comfortable stay. The fully equipped kitchen lets you cook your own meals — helpful when restaurant menus are in Russian. A washing machine is available on-site for laundry. We offer secure luggage storage if you want to explore the city before or after check-out. Several banks and ATMs accepting international cards (Visa, Mastercard, UnionPay) are within a short walk. Our staff can help you with directions, transport information, and SIM card options for local mobile service.
